BBQ

To celebrate the end of the four training days, Lyn and Tom hosted a BBQ. All the trainers came, as well as selected QSR staff. Chris and I played social as much as we could tolerate, interspersed with walks in the orchard, and random ducking outside. She smokes, which, for the first time ever, I think, was a relief for me tonight, since she could say, "I'm gonna go out for a smoke," and I could follow her out and we'd go "OHMYGOD; did you hear that?!" And we'd roll our eyes about who made what ridiculous comment.

We have agreed to hang out tomorrow after the session at QSR (ends at 3:30), and then have dinner. She has graciously offered to pay most of the times we go out, and even paid for my cab one night to get back to the Richards' house, which is so generous. On Tuesday night, a bunch of us (I'm actually on a panel with Chris, Dan, Kakali, and Lyn!) are going out to dinner to discuss and prepare for the panel, and on Wednesday, Chris and I will try to head for the Gold Coast from Brisbane, for a swim in the ocean (she's adament), so hopefully the weather will be good. It will be awesome to have a day by ourselves.

Now I need to go help clean up from dinner!
